Novelgrind is here both as a resource for writers new to the craft, and as a personal journal about the challenges I face as I develop a five-book novel series targeted at young adults aged anywhere between 12 and 18 (depending on their reading level). Articles will include updates on my progress (or lack thereof), subjective guides on how to write, and any other rant I think other people might enjoy reading. Ideally, it will serve me well into the future and through many novels yet to come.
I hope that Novelgrind becomes a great go-to guide for writers, but more specifically, I hope that by offering a behind-the-scenes look at the development of a novel, a series of novels, or even a careers’ worth of fiction, I’ll have a fantastic resource of learning, information and self-analysis that will enrich me as an author and anybody else who happens to be interested. Like if I get a fan or something crazy. (Hi, Mum!)
